Halliburton had sharp decline after BP's filed an accusation

Tuesday (12/6) morning, Halliburton Co. opened at $36.57(-1.22%) after BP filed an accusation Monday (12/5) evening, of “intentionally destroying evidence relating to the Deepwater Horizon disaster in the Gulf of Mexico last year, the world’s largest accidental offshore oil spill.

In New Orleans, the trial for damages arising from the spill, BP alleged that Halliburton had destroyed test results and computer analysis “because it wanted to eliminate any risk that this evidence would be used against it at trial”. The first trial over the Deepwater Horizon disaster is scheduled to start Feb. 27 in New Orleans.

Halliburton ranged from day’s low at $34.86 to  high at $36.73. It closed at $35.57 (-3.92%)
